Bank of the West allows multiple types of accounts to be opened through your local branch or online.
Bank of the West allows personal checking, savings and money market accounts to be opened online, with a maximum of two applicants per account. For additional products such as loans and lines of credit please visit our full list of products available to open online.
Simply sign in to Online Banking, click the Online Statements tab under the Accounts main menu and click on the Enroll in Online Statements link next to your eligible accounts.
Online Statements are available for personal checking and savings accounts, money market accounts and certificates of deposit.
If you have a combined or integrated personal statement that shows checking accounts and additional account information (money market, savings, CD or Gold Line accounts), these will appear on one combined Online Statement, just as with a paper statement.
Look at the bottom left corner of your checks. The first nine-digit number on the left is the bank routing number. Immediately to the right of that is your checking account number.
You have two options to request a stop payment on a check that has been lost, is no longer valid or you otherwise do not wish to be paid. You may go to your local branch, or call our Contact Center Service at 1-800-488-2265. For TTY/TDD, please call 1-800-659-5495. You can use the automated system or speak to a Contact Center representative to request a stop payment. In order to place a stop payment, you will need the check number, dollar amount, the date on the check, and the payee. There may be a $35 fee for all stop payments placed on accounts, depending on the checking product you have.
Yes, many of our customers take advantage of the convenience of having both accounts at Bank of the West. Visit or call your local branch to take advantage of this service.
Prior to maturity, we will send you a renewal notice and let you know that your CD is maturing. This notice will include a phone number you can call to answer any questions you might have.
